雖然香港沒有份兒， Apple Arcade 經已在 9 月 20 日於多個國家推出。而她的對手 Google ，美國時間 9 月 23 日公在 Google Play Store 推出訂閱服務「 Google Play Pass 」，將部分收費或者含有課金元素的遊戲或程式以免費且無廣告的方式提供。

Google Play Pass 的收費與 Apple Arcade 一樣也是 US$4.99 （約港幣 $39 ），也可以與最多 6 位家庭成員分享。 Google 指已經有超過 350 款遊戲或程式可以透過 Google Play Pass 來遊玩，人氣作品包括《 Terraria 》和《 Star Wars：Old Republic of Old Republic 》等都包括在內，以後每月還會新增遊戲。用戶可以使用手機、執行 Android 的筆電或平板電腦來遊玩， Android 需要 4.4 以上，而 Play Store App 就要 16.6.25 以上。
至於開發方面， Play Pass 遊戲是由 Google 揀選的， Google 指如果開發人使用標準廣告和 in-app purchase API 來開發的話，轉換到 Play Pass 是非常簡單，而且不需要遞交收費和訂閱兩個版本。
Google 指 Google Play Pass 會率先在美國推出，並且不久就會推廣到全球更多國家及地區。當開放了 Google Play Pass 之後， Google Play Store 底部就會多出 Play Pass 的項目，列出所有可供使用、沒有收費和廣告的遊戲和程式。
Google Play Pass 設有 10 日免費試玩， Google 更在美國推出優惠： 10 月 10 日前訂閱 Play Pass 的話，首年月費只需 $1.99 （約港幣 $16 ） 。
